Some commissions stay with you long after the last box is packed and shipped.
The rehearsal dinner of Angela Capezza and Ketan Ganase is one of them.
When this extraordinary couple reached out to Duallush Designs, they had already chosen one of the most breathtaking wedding venues in the world: Château Challain — a neo-Gothic fairytale castle in the Loire Valley of France, with towering turrets, manicured gardens, and a setting that feels borrowed from the pages of a fairy tale.
Ketan, who was born in France, had always known he wanted to marry there. Angela had always dreamed of a fairytale castle wedding. Château Challain was the perfect place where both dreams met.
Their two-day celebration began with a bohemian-inspired rehearsal dinner on an outdoor terrace overlooking the château gardens — and they wanted their invitations to set that tone from the very first moment guests opened them.
The celebration was later featured in Brides.com — one of the most respected wedding publications in the United States — in an article titled “A Bohemian Rehearsal Dinner at a French Château” by Senior Editor Shelby Wax. Duallush Designs was credited in the full vendor team.
The Venue That Inspired Everything
Château Challain sits in Challain-la-Potherie in the Anjou region of France’s Loire Valley. For American couples dreaming of a destination wedding in Europe, it represents the ultimate expression of old-world romance — grand, storied, and impossibly beautiful.
For Angela and Ketan, it was personal. As Angela shared, Ketan “always knew that he wanted to get married there” — and she had always dreamed of a fairytale castle wedding. Château Challain was the place where both dreams became one.
When you’re designing invitations for a venue as extraordinary as this, you don’t reach for a template. You reach for a sketch pad.
The box came first. We chose premium ivory velvet — a fabric that photographs beautifully, feels extraordinary in the hands, and carries an inherent sense of ceremony.
At the centre, we designed a hand gold-foiled baroque crown monogram. The crown echoed the regal architecture of Château Challain. The couple’s initials were rendered inside in flowing calligraphy, gold-foiled directly onto the velvet surface.
The box was finished with a hand-tied ivory satin ribbon and a silk tassel — details that transformed the unboxing into a ritual. When a guest pulled that tassel and lifted the lid, they weren’t just receiving an invitation. They were being welcomed into a world.
The Château Illustration & Acrylic Card
Inside the velvet box, the acrylic invitation card held the suite’s most personal touch: the wedding details while as the box flap had a hand-rendered gold illustration of Château Challain itself.
Every turret. Every spire. The grand façade. The arched windows. All captured in meticulous gold detail on clear premium acrylic.
This is something we believe deeply at Duallush: when your venue is extraordinary, it belongs on your invitation. The illustration meant guests received a portrait of where they were going — a preview, a promise, and a keepsake all at once.
The couple’s names, rehearsal dinner details, and venue information were set in refined gold calligraphy, completing a suite that felt cohesive, intentional, and deeply personal.

Photographer Catherine Chuang captured the evening in full — the terrace glowing with vintage lanterns, the tables lush with pampas grass and white florals, the guests gathered from around the globe to celebrate Angela and Ketan’s love.
Brides.com covered the event in their Real Weddings section, and Duallush Designs was listed in the full vendor credits as the invitation designer for the evening.
For us, that recognition confirmed what we always believe when we sit down to design: that a truly great invitation is noticed. That craftsmanship is remembered. That the details matter.
What This Commission Taught Us
The venue is part of the design
The best invitation suites feel like they could only belong to that specific celebration. The château illustration was specific to this wedding — and that specificity is what made it extraordinary.
Unboxing is an experience
The moment a guest picks up an invitation is the first moment they feel the energy of your event. The velvet, the tassel, the ribbon — these aren’t decorative extras. They’re the opening act.
Luxury is in the details
Gold foil on ivory velvet. A hand-rendered architectural illustration. Silk rather than synthetic. These choices compound. Each one adds a layer. Together, they create something irreplaceable.
